Advanced Organizer/ Brochure

Kathmandu

Kathmandu has an upscale relaxing atmosphere featuring an exotic blend of Indian and Nepalese cuisine perfect for an intimate dinner for two, group parties, or an "after work" relief. With an amazing wine selection and exquisite entrees, we encourage you to experience fine dining located just west of downtown Chicago.

About the brochure......

The brochure that I choose was a sushi restaurant. Usually sushi menus are typically not very exciting however, the restaurant's name interested me. Oysy(name of restaurant) actually means delicious. The menu is plain and sleek. This menu also had a type of advanced organizer that was worded well and very inviting.

a. How are you planning to use the project?

General motors (my company) will install Onstar security safety systems within a majority of different cars and trucks.

b. Who will be effected by use of the product?

Our customers will be effected by this change. The addition to our cars will be a major contribution to our business.

c. What are some of the foreseeable costs? Manpower, facilities, transportation, and or equipment.

This will cost the company approximately 2.3 million dollars for company cost, equipment, and installation. Installation will take place in our parts warehouses. Equipment is approximately 1.1 million dollars of the above budget.

Outline for Internal Proposal

Introduction

Onstar is collaborating with our company General Motors to enhance the luxury and security of cars and SUV's. We (General motors) will be collaborating with Onstar security systems to provide this new edition. Not only will customers be eager to purchase such a package, General Motors gross sales will be directly benefited.

Summary

Onstar is a offering a package deal security system that can be installed in cars and SUV's. This can be a huge attribute to our cars. This system includes navigation, security system roadside assistance, hands free phone system, and satellite radio. With this system, I know that our sales will increase by at least forty-percent. Though the economy at this time is down for car sales, this new technology that will be introduced will surely encourage customers to consider our new well advanced cars. The collaboration with Onstar and General Motors will not cost our customers a significant amount of money. Meaning; at point of sale this system would be automatically featured in the car, and no extra money is required.

Proposed Tasks

With your approval, we will perform the following tasks to integrate the two companies that ultimately benefit the company as well as our customers.

1. Evaluate General Motor's budget.

2. Research (if any) any other available security safety sytems.

3. Identify the demand for this technology.

4. Prepare a completion report.

1. Michael was recently hired at a small contemporary shoe boutique right outside downtown Chicago. He just graduated with a degree in marketing and is interested in fashion. Michael knew that working at this boutique would help him gain knowledge and experience for his upcoming career. The first two days were very intimating because he basically was thrown on the sales floor. His next work shift he will be trained for the register and attend a shoe certification class by one of the managers. Michael arrived at work excitied until he was introduced to the store manger Greg. Michael just assumed that Greg was white but he was black. Michael doesn't think he is a racist, but he did feel uncomfortable. Michael doesn't know how to act, what to do, and who to talk to. Michael really wants to work for the store but oddly, he never worked cloesly with a black man before.

2. This scenario is unethical because Michael is uncomfortable wroking with his boss, Greg because he is black. Michael needs to nuderstand that feeling uncomfortable just because Greg is black is wrong. In Michael's field of marketing, he needs to understand that it is a very diverse field. He will be working with many different types of people. So even if Michael quits this job, he will be running away from something that he will find at his next job- cultural and racial diversity.

Writing Collaboratively

Handling Interpersonal Conflict

Allison, I known that you are frustrated with the way things have been going but I think that sending Ken an unpleasant email is not going to be effective. I think we should sit Ken down and address the issue. We need to definitely be clear and firm but not rude. If we explain to Ken the importance of getting the task accomplished and our dedication to the project perhaps he will understand. I think he needs a friendly reminder that organization and communication is very important when working with others. We need to explain to him that he needs to be a bit more considerate of our time and dedication to this project. If we don't have a clear understanding after speaking to him, then we can figure alternate plans. Lets see how this goes. Gerricka

Dear Ms, Larson
As you know Ken, Allison and I were assigned by you to respond to the request regarding the e-catalog products. Unfortunately, we have come across a problem. Ken who is a customer sales representative has not devoted himself to the project as Allison and I have. He has missed a meeting,h as been late to the others meetings, and has not supplied necessary information that was needed to complete our task. I can forward you an email that he sent to me regarding a task that he was suppose to fulfil but instead he explains how I could obtain these documents. This is not an attempt to make him look bad, more so letting you know of our dedication to the project. We have addressed this issue with Ken but was unsuccessful. If you have any suggestions please give me a call.

"Preparing for an interview"

1. Why should we hire you?
a. Employer wants to know what distinguishes you from other applicants. It is and
introduction of yourself.

b. I feel with my clinical experience I am very confident to to not only perform abdominal and
pelvic ultrasounds but prenatal as well. Even though my education is general ultrasound, I
believe with my recent training in a prenatal unit will allow me to be successful in this area
of concentration. I have worked in fast paced hospitals so I know that I can easily adjust
to my environment.

2. Why did you choose the field of sonography?
a. The employer may want to know ow dedicated the applicant is. The employer gets a sense
of honesty from applicant as well as an insight of the person.

b. To be honest, two years ago I didn't know exactly what career path I wanted to take. I
know I wanted to do something that I was interested in and something I generally liked
doing. Of course you know the field of sonography is in demand so that gives me security
knowingly going into a field that is highly needed. In sonography, you can also continue
to specialize in certain areas therefore being eligible for different job opportunities.

3. What is your experience/background?
a. The employer wants to know how qualified the applicant is. What range of experience does
the applicant have.

b. East-West University and Citi College of Allied Health has joined together creating a
sonograhy program. At East-West, I received well rounded general education courses.
Citi College of Allied Health is where my classes of concentration were provided. I could
have just attended Citi College for their certificate program, but I feel receiving a degree
gives me a sufficient education that prepared me for medical field. Citi college offered
excellent hands on teaching. I also completed my clinical hours at a couple different hospitals

4. What are your goals in the future? Goals for this institution?
a. The employer wants to know if any advancement is desired by the applicant. The employer
wants to get a sense of do you plan to grow with company or is it a temporary position.

b. Even though I have just graduated and completed the sonography program, I want to take
classes to be certified in different areas. I know I want to be certified in echo cardiogram
ultrasound as well as vascular ultrasound. I also will be going back to school for my
bachelor's degree.

5. Why did you choose this facility?
a. The employer might be testing the applicants dedication. The employer is checking if the
applicant has researched the company at all.

b. Well during my research, I have learned that this company is very successful in job
placement. I know the company places qualified applicants to various prestigious hospitals
and I feel I would be a good candidate. I also know that the job placement rate leads to
ninety percent permanent positions. I know this company will guarantee my success.
